OSMH: Packages From 3rd Party/Private Software Source Does not Display in Instance Available Package

Symptoms

After creating 3rd party software source for an external vendor repository, checking the instance available packages in OSMH does not show any available packages in the 3rd party software source for an instance.

Solution

As described in OSMH documentation for 3rd party software sources. "Packages provided by third-party or private software sources aren't listed in the available packages list. To install packages, you must add the packages by name."

Once installed, those packages display on the installed packages list and available updates list for an instance in OSMH. Patches from third-party and private software sources are included in update jobs.
