Upvoted. More options/flexibility for defining filters is definitely desired. I created Idea (one year ago), which falls into same category:
So my Idea can be treated as "subset" of this very broadly conceived idea.

We are also facing challenges due to the lack of a basic single select filter. This is definitely an area that needs improvement.
